Job summary

City of Boulder seeks a part-time Behavioral Health Crisis Response Team clinician to respond to 911 calls and crisis situations involving behavioral health. The role may operate independently or alongside Boulder Police Department officers as a co-response partner.

The position requires a master’s degree, crisis intervention experience, and strong documentation and coordination skills to connect clients with community resources and services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field is required.
• Two years of crisis intervention, suicide and risk assessment experience are required.
• Ability to document clearly and accurately under crisis conditions.
• Ability to coordinate care and referrals with multiple agencies in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 911 and non-emergency calls involving behavioral health concerns as part of BHCRT.
• Conduct clinical interventions and mental status exams when needed.
• Make on-scene level of care decisions and coordinate care with schools, hospitals, and families.
• Provide transportation for clients and follow-ups to connect them with services.
