Job summary

City of Boulder seeks a part-time Crisis Response Clinician to fill in as needed and support the Behavioral Health Crisis Response Team. You will respond to 911 and police calls involving behavioral health concerns, provide clinical interventions, document cases, and assist with referrals.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in a related field and crisis intervention experience. BHCRT collaboration and compliance with laws and ethics are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• Two years of crisis intervention, suicide/risk assessment, de-escalation, and differential diagnosis experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide as-needed in-person response to crises via 911 dispatch across communities.
• Conduct mental status exams and risk assessments to determine appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate with BHCRT and other agencies for referrals and follow-ups.
• Document contacts and care plans per team policies.
• Assist with transportation and follow-up contacts as needed.
