Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to service a fleet of Budget Trucks and moving vans. You will perform oil/fluids, tires, brakes, and suspension work, with guidance from senior techs as you grow your skills.

The role requires a valid driver's license, 2 years of repair experience, ASE certification, and the ability to obtain DOT medical clearance. On-site work with industry-leading benefits and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience.
At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop with moderate to loud noise.
Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, and brake/suspension work.
Handle warranty-related repairs based on experience level and assist senior technicians.
Drive Budget Truck on public roads for testing or verification as needed.
Keep vehicles safe, reliable and available to reduce downtime and support rentals.
