Job summary

MCCOX is seeking an entry-level vehicle technician to perform maintenance and repairs on mobile duty sites. This role requires ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles, and to maintain accurate vehicle history records.

A sign-on bonus program is available for new hires. Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience, ASE certifications (G1/A4/A5), and a commitment to safety and ongoing training in evolving automotive technologies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, filters, transmission flush, inspections

• Keep shop area clean and safe
• Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records
• May up-fit vehicles with equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Job description

An entry level vehicle technician provides a high skill level of vehicle maintenance and repairs for vehicles. This technician will be working on property in a mobile capacity.

New Hires Are Eligible for a $3k Bonus (this includes a $1,500 tool bonus)

Primary Duties/Key Responsibilites

• Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
• Based upon certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, electrical systems, interior/exterior components, engine, and driveline components, etc.
• Keep shop area clean and tidy.
• Perform work in accordance with safety standards.
• Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
• Create and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records.
• May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Required

• Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.

Preferred

• A high school diploma or GED
• Current ASE Certifications: G1, A4, A5 status when required by leadership.

MCCOX

USD 24.09 - 36.11 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $24.09 - $36.11/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
