Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store are an integral part of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations, where active customer engagement is crucial for success. They are ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a high-traffic environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are continuously evolving. Mobile Associates excel at building and deepening relationships with customers through meaningful interactions. They are skilled at identifying customer needs and are passionate about educating, demonstrating, and recommending solutions. Mobile Associates are expected to exceed their performance targets by doing it the right way, which includes excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality of sale metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with a broad range of customers in a highly-traffic retail environment, using digital tools, communicating effectively, educating customers, and showcasing the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Solution-Based Selling: Leverage digital self-serve tools during customer interactions, identify customer needs, and demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services, including onboarding solutions and the use of the T-Mobile app.
  3. Training and Knowledge: Complete training on in-store experience, new skills, products, and processes. Continuously learn to improve skills and provide the best customer experience. Support store operations, including opening and closing procedures, and secure kiosk assets.
  4. Customer Service: Be passionate, friendly, and engaging. Build rapport and trust, provide exceptional service, and exceed customer expectations. Follow up with customers, manage referrals, and perform price overrides when necessary.
  5. Relationship Building: Build relationships with nearby leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and servicing.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Passionate advocate, effective at balancing experience and performance (Required)
  • Team Building: Willingness to collaborate and share best practices (Required)
  • Retail Sales: Competitive and confident in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)

Hourly Base Pay: $19.00

During the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for incentive pay. After training, they can promote to Mobile Expert with an annual incentive target of $18,000/year, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees are guaranteed a minimum earning of $20/hour including base pay and incentives. Additionally, all employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
