Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store, are an integral part of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations, where active customer engagement is crucial for success. They are ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a high-traffic environment, are obsessed with the connected world, and continuously adapt to evolving technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience. Mobile Associates excel at building and deepening relationships with customers through meaningful interactions, identifying needs, and passionately educating, demonstrating, and recommending solutions. They aim to exceed performance targets by doing it the right way — excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality of sale metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Proactively engage with a broad range of customers in a high-traffic retail environment, using digital tools, effective communication, and showcasing the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Leverage digital self-serve tools during customer interactions, identify customer needs, and use solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services, including onboarding solutions via the T-Mobile app.
  3. Complete training on the in-store experience, new skills, products, processes, and system knowledge. Review personal results, promotions, and updates to stay customer-ready. Partner with nearby stores for customer onboarding, perform skills practice, knowledge sharing, and store operations including opening/closing procedures, securing assets, and reporting issues.
  4. Be customer-obsessed — connect on a personal level, build rapport and trust, and exceed customer expectations. Proactively reach out to potential customers, follow up, capture referrals, manage Be Back processes, and build relationships with new and existing customers. Perform price overrides for specialty offers when necessary.
  5. Build relationships with nearby leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and account servicing.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Passionate about customer advocacy, balancing experience and performance goals (Required)
  • Team Building: Willing to collaborate and share best practices with peers and leaders (Required)
  • Retail Sales: Competitive drive and confidence in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Additional Information

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, they become eligible for an annual incentive target of $18,000, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees are guaranteed a minimum of $20/hour including incentives. Every employee is also eligible for an annual stock grant.
