Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They serve as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment, continuously evolving with technology innovations and customer needs. They focus on building relationships with customers, educating them about our offerings, and demonstrating device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working closely with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
  • Assisting customers in continuing their shopping journey, whether online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology in-store.
  • Selling personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching customer interactions with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Using digital tools to demonstrate coverage, plans, and services effectively.
  • Completing training on in-store experience, systems, and resources.
  • Seeking information and learning about innovations during shifts.
  • Partnering with other T-Mobile employees to ensure a seamless customer experience and support small business leads.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • At least 6 months of customer service or sales experience; retail experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate about customer service and having fun connecting with people. (Required)
  • Competitive drive and success in a sales environment. (Required)
  • Willingness to collaborate and learn from peers and leaders. (Required)
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals. (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly pay is $17.50, with incentives during training and upon promotion. Employees are guaranteed at least $20/hour including incentives, with opportunities for stock grants and other benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and discounts.
