The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of mechanical service experience, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with diagnostic tools and John Deere products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; Associates preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of mechanical service repairs experience.
• Located in the Kinsley or Lewis area; highly preferred.
• Ag Tech graduate or 2 years of John Deere experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic repairs using manuals and proper tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and computer use.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Reports additional work required to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Documents diagnostics and repairs on work orders and submits information on time.
• Keeps records to establish cost of parts and labor.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
• Handles customer issues objectively and tactfully.
• Answers service calls and assists customers accordingly.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Participates in John Deere training courses and continuing education.
