Job summary

GlobalPoint HC in Missouri is seeking a qualified Stepdown RN for a floating assignment. The role requires at least 2 years of critical care experience and may involve working in ICU, PCU, and other units as needed.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 and duties include managing complex patients, titrating vasoactive meds, and ensuring patient safety across shifts. Candidates should be proficient with IV/invasive procedures, airway care, and post-operative monitoring; floating is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care in a stepdown unit.
• Titrate vasoactive drips and monitor hemodynamics.
• Administer meds and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care team members.

Unit: Stepdown

Floating is required

Preference will be given to candidates with both ICU and PCU experience. A minimum of 2 years critical care experience is required.

Top Diagnosis/Procedures: surgical of all types, medicals of all types, neuro patients at times.

Common Equipment: bladder scanners, IV pumps, PCA pumps, SCD's, bipaps, cpaps, optiflows, vapotherms, airvos.

Vasoactive Drip Titration Required - neosynephrine, amiodarone, cardizem, among a few others

Nurse Patient Ratio: 1:03 (not guaranteed)

Line Management Skills:

• Required: IV Insertion, PICC/Central Line Management, Vascular Device Access/Care, Dialysis Fistula Care/Management, A-Line Management
• Preferred: CVP

Cardiac Skills: Preferred: Obtain 12 Lead EKG, Sheath Removal, Cardioversion/Defibrillation

Airway: Required: CPAP/BiPAP, Trach Care

Ortho/MS/Onc: Required: Epidural/PCA pumps, Feeding Tubes, Wound Vac
