Job summary

Lamb Weston is seeking a Process Maintenance technician in Park Rapids, MN. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and operating repair, cutting or welding equipment to complete tasks.

Key duties include inspecting machinery, diagnosing issues, dismantling and repairing equipment, and maintaining piping and machine parts. Requires a technical certificate or relevant experience plus own hand tools and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a maintenance position.
  • Must have own set of hand tools (good quality, list available upon request).
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to maintain level of performance.
  • Language skills: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
  • Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Reasoning ability: solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related steam and refrigeration, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, mill, grinder, and drills to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.
