Qualifications

• Must have Minnesota 1st Class B Engineer boiler license.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Physical labor including lifting, bending, stairs/climbing.
• Knowledge of Hazard Communications Standard and PSM.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• Strong math and problem solving skills.
• Self-starter, multitask and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler and plant ancillary equipment efficiently.
• Maintain supplies/inventory and perform housekeeping; operate forklift, bobcat for chemical transfers.
• Sample, mix, and maintain proper chemical balances for boiler; monitor chlorine release for regulatory compliance.
• Read/record/test data from gauges/meters; ensure temps and pressures are within parameters.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required.
• Test emergency equipment and prepare boiler for annual inspection.
