Job summary

City and County of Honolulu seeks a Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI) to oversee the MMIS for rail, including design, rules, data, access, and business processes. You will drive process improvements and ensure seamless incident, asset, service, and inventory management across the system.

The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent, with experience in MMIS, inventory control, and procurement activities, in a large public transportation setting.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or substitution per stated rules is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, public or business administration, or related field is preferred.
• Training or experience with MMIS and inventory controls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MMIS process improvements and system enhancements.
• Ensure MMIS grants users access to incident, asset, service request, work order, and inventory data.
• Monitor maintenance planning, purchasing, warranties, KPIs, and reporting outputs.
• Review project materials, assess inventory levels, and recommend ordering schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors; ensure patches, versions, and resilience of MMIS.
