Job summary

Lumilens Inc. is seeking a Silicon Photonic Engineer to lead and shape product direction for packaged silicon photonics, optical engine integration, and manufacturing considerations for next‑gen interconnects.

You will translate customer needs into clear technical requirements, drive cross‑functional execution with hardware, firmware, software, validation, and manufacturing teams, and champion quality, reliability, and scalable solutions from concept through validation and production.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading photonics‑based product development from concept to production.
Deep expertise in silicon photonics design, performance trade‑offs, and integration challenges.
Direct experience with packaged silicon photonics or optical engine development.
Experience performing optical link budget analysis via simulation.
Ability to define cross‑functional product requirements across hardware, firmware, software, validation and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Help define product requirements for next‑generation optical interconnects balancing performance and manufacturability.
Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, foundries, and suppliers.
Drive cross‑functional alignment and manage priorities, milestones and deliverables.
Analyze impairments using simulation to ensure robust real‑world performance.
Translate system goals into actionable silicon photonics, electronics, firmware, and software specs.
Lead packaged optics execution including co‑packaged optics and I/O approaches.
Define testing strategy and hands‑on lab validation from EVT to production.
