Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Winston Campus Laboratory in Wake Forest, NC. This full-time, 1st shift position with rotating weekends/holidays supports a 40-hour workweek and requires MLT certification with an associate degree preferred.

You will ensure accurate and timely test results, follow QC/QA procedures, and maintain safety and compliance while keeping current certifications. Collaboration with care teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
• Ensures quality of test results by following defined QC and QA procedures.
• Ensures safety and compliance.
• Maintains appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and maintain current certifications as applicable.
• Ensures productive and efficient operations of the section and department.
• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
