Job summary

Qualifications

• Meets CLIA requirements for high complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes patient, control and proficiency testing specimens and records results in a timely manner.
• Coordinates quality assurance and quality improvement activities for the department.
• Oversees calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and quality control for instrument issues and documentation.
• Mentors students and staff as applicable, and supports training.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
• Supports staffing, inventory and departmental financial planning as assigned.
