Job summary

Bell Hospital is seeking an MLS Technical Specialist for Core Lab Hematology. This full-time role supports comprehensive laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and timely patient results and maintaining quality standards.

You will oversee the laboratory department in the absence of the manager/supervisor and serve as the technical expert for department issues, CLIA high-complexity requirements, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with CLIA high complexity testing eligibility.
• ASCP, NCA or eligible (must be completed within 6 months of hire).
• Graduate of a NCCLS approved training program.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all departmental responsibilities for comprehensive laboratory testing for patients.
• Ensures patients' laboratory results are accurate and timely with quality.
• Oversees the laboratory department in the absence of the manager/supervisor.
• Serves as the technical specialist and domain expert for issues in the department.

The MLS Technical Specialist participates in all departmental responsibilities for comprehensive laboratory testing for patients. This includes ensuring patients laboratory results are accurate, timely and with quality. They are also responsible for overseeing the laboratory department in the absence of the manager/supervisor. They are the technical specialist and the domain expert for issues that arise in the department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree and meets the CLIA requirements for high complexity testing required
• ASCP, NCA or eligible (must be completed within 6 months of hire)
• Graduate of a NCCLS approved training program

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological, Physical, or Chemical
