Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician for the Microbiology laboratory. The role involves performing a variety of tests, troubleshooting, and quality control within a state-of-the-art facility in NH.

Shifts run 7:30 am–4:00 pm over two weeks, with a $3,750 sign-on/retention bonus for external hires. The position offers career growth, a collaborative environment, and opportunities in bacteriology, virology and other microbiology subspecialties.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Bachelor's degree with required experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic tests in the Clinical Laboratory to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Troubleshoots problems and ensures patient results are reported only when systems function properly.
• Maintains and monitors quality control practices and instrument checks.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment and supplies; troubleshoots issues as needed.
• Trains new staff and students in bench procedures and lab techniques.
• Participates in continuing education programs for laboratory staff.
