Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Tech at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. Evening shift, 3:30pm–12:00am, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Hours: 32 flex 40hrs. The position involves performing diversified laboratory procedures to provide quality patient analyses for diagnosis and treatment. The role requires an Associate degree or 60 semester hours with biology and chemistry coursework; ASCP MLT certification within two years, and a willingness to train in microbiology

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 60 semester hours with biology and chemistry coursework.
• Certification as an MLT (ASCP) within two years of hire, or equivalent approved agency.
• Microbiology-focused role; some training may be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical laboratory procedures to produce accurate patient analysis.
• Support timely diagnosis and contribute to hospital efficiency and patient care.
