Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Neptune, NJ is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to perform moderate/high complexity testing in a hospital-based laboratory.

The role requires strong proficiency in testing procedures, instrument troubleshooting, quality control, and accurate reporting of results; uses LIS daily. Shift is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with rotational weekend coverage, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum education in medical technology or related field with clinical lab background.
• Experience with high/medium complexity testing preferred.
• ASCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate to high complexity with independence and judgment.
• Support quality control, troubleshoot complex problems, and maintain equipment.
• Report results accurately and timely; ensure proper documentation and records.
• Adhere to safety, HIPAA, CLIA, and laboratory SOPs; participate in audits as needed.
