Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist I in Neptune, NJ. This hospital-based role at Jersey Shore supports patient care with state-of-the-art instrumentation and a strong benefits package.

Training and growth opportunities are available within a Fortune 500 company. The position is Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotational weekends and holidays, with a pay range of $27.95–$46.12 per hour.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related field preferred; BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology also acceptable.
• ASCP certified or eligible required.
• 1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review/release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
