Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for our Hackensack, NJ hospital-based lab. The role operates Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM with rotational weekends and holidays, and offers a pay range of $32.00–$50.73 per hour.

Responsibilities include performing moderate/high complexity testing, ensuring QC, operator support, and accurate reporting in the LIS. MLS II requires a BS/BA in Medical Technology or related field and applicable certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year full-time experience or training in a clinical lab (high complexity testing).
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or Associate degree in a Laboratory Science. Detailed credential evaluations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate/high complexity test procedures with independent judgement.
• Troubleshoot instruments, support QC, and assist with special projects.
• Enter results into LIS and ensure turnaround times, including STATs.
• Maintain safe, clean lab areas and adhere to CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA requirements.
