Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II in Perth Amboy, NJ, a hospital-based position at Raritan Bay. The role offers a rotating schedule 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants.

Pay range is $32.00 - $50.73 per hour, with potential annual performance bonus. The MLS II will perform moderate/high complexity tests, troubleshoot instruments, ensure QC, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical lab.

Qualifications

• One (1) year full-time experience or training (high complexity testing) in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience with most current year in present department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Provide support for quality control, troubleshooting, instrument maintenance and staff training.
• Perform and report analytical tests following SOPs and quality control requirements.
• Enter test results into the Laboratory Information System for physician review.
• Maintain safe, clean laboratory areas and participate in inspections when needed.
