Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist I for Fremont, MI on a rotating schedule: every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM. BS in Medical Technology or related field preferred; 1 year high-complexity testing experience is desired.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
• 1 year clinical experience with high complexity testing preferred.
• MLS/Medical Laboratory Scientist credentials desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing and reporting.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Follow lab policies when test systems are out of spec.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor.
