Job summary

Christel House Indianapolis is seeking a full-time ML Teacher for Academy West. This role requires a valid Indiana teaching license, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.

The teacher will plan engaging lessons, track student progress, and collaborate with school staff to support student growth. The position offers competitive pay starting at $55,600 for the first year, sign-on bonuses, comprehensive health care, retirement contributions, referral

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that facilitate active learning.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use data to adjust instructional strategies.
• Facilitate student conferences, maintain regular communication with students regards grades, attendance and any other pertinent topics.
• Participate in appropriate professional activities.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to improve student outcomes.
• Other duties assigned.

Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking a full-time ML Teacher at Academy West.

Days of Service: 192 Days (dependent upon start date, 202 is the maximum for the academic year)

ML Teachers at Christel House have the autonomy to try innovative strategies in their classrooms to reach all types of learners. Teachers support the whole child, teaching character education and social and emotional learning strategies to students to support their development beyond academics. Teachers are supported by interventionists, instructional coaches, lead teachers, on-site social workers and counselors, and a staff that thrives on collaborating and improving within the school community.
