Christel House Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Spanish Teacher for Watanabe High School. The teacher will plan, deliver standards-aligned lessons, manage classroom behavior, monitor student progress, and engage families and the community to support student success.

Requirements include IN teaching licensure, a bachelor's degree, and willingness to pursue dual-credit credentials with reimbursement. The position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within CHS.

Job Tasks:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that facilitate active learning.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies.
• Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, conduct home visits, schedule student-led conferences, and promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
• Participate in appropriate professional activities.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively, maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
• Other duties assigned.

Spanish Teachers at Christel House have the autonomy to try innovative strategies in their classrooms to reach all types of learners.
