Job summary

Workday Government in the DMV area seeks a Software Engineer to design, implement, and deliver scalable ML Runtime features. You will partner with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and other Software Engineers to create the technology that brings ML capabilities to life in production.

This role requires strong DevOps, Python, and container orchestration skills, with on-site work in the DC/MD/VA area and a willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional DevOps experience, including infrastructure automation and CI/CD
• 5+ years of Python programming and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks, automation, and tooling to foster efficiency and innovation.
• Apply Kubernetes, Docker, and Python to enhance scalability of ML Runtime features.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain distributed systems and software components.
• Develop products and services to streamline developer interactions with the ML platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to power ML features in production.
• Manage on-call rotations and participate in incident response as needed.
