Job summary

Workday, Inc. seeks a DevOps-focused Software Engineer to design and build scalable pipelines, machine learning runtimes, and distributed systems.

You will work with Kubernetes and Docker to enable scalable product development and operate CI/CD, monitoring, and automation across private and public clouds. The role emphasizes security, DoD/8570 alignment where applicable, and potential on-site work in the DMV area.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of DevOps experience including Infrastructure automation, building CICD pipelines.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker to scale their efforts in creating new and innovative products.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins, and applying continuous deployment tool such as ArgoCD.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Preferred DoD 8570/8140 compliant with at least IAT Level II certification, including a current Computing Environment credential and one approved.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred; US citizenship required for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new capabilities from inception to deployment to exploit the full power of the core middleware infrastructure and services.
• Improve our services and encourage their adoption within Workday's infrastructure both in private and public cloud.
