Job summary

MD Think seeks a Senior AI/ML Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operationalize ML infrastructure on AWS. You will bridge data engineering and MLOps to deliver scalable, secure AI/ML pipelines supporting analytics for government programs.

You will implement end-to-end pipelines, feature stores, and compliant data practices, collaborating with data scientists and analysts to productionize models and maintain reliability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of computer experience in information systems design.
• 6+ years of data engineering or software engineering with 2+ years in ML platform/MLOps.
• Deep expertise with AWS ML/AI services: SageMaker, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, S3.
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost).
• Experience building MLOps pipelines and CI/CD for ML workflows.
• Distributed computing (Spark/EMR) and large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and deployment on AWS.
• Build and maintain MLOps infrastructure: model registries, CI/CD, experiment tracking, retraining pipelines.
• Develop scalable feature stores and data preprocessing pipelines using AWS Glue/EMR/Spark.
• Collaborate with scientists and analysts to productionize models and translate research into robust systems.
• Ensure ML systems meet government data security and compliance (FISMA, NIST).
• Implement data versioning, lineage tracing, and model explainability/audit capabilities.
• Monitor models for drift and data quality; implement alerting and remediation.
• Contribute to data platform architecture decisions (lakehouse, data cataloging, access controls).
• Document architectures, pipelines, and operational runbooks to government standards.
