Qualifications

• 3+ years software engineering experience; PhD reduces the required experience.
• 2+ years in ML, recommender systems, AI, or related field
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Javascript or Hack
• Experience with developing ML models at scale from inception to business impact
• Knowledge developing and debugging in C/C++ and Java, or scripting languages like Python, Perl, PHP, or shell scripts
• Track record of setting technical direction for a team and cross-functional partnerships
• Proven experience designing, building, or deploying recommender systems (e.g., collaborative filtering, content-based, hybrid)
• Experience delivering high quality, reliable work and proper testing/rollout/monitoring

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative experiences
• Implement custom user interfaces using latest techniques
• Develop reusable software components interfacing with back-end platforms
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance
• Lead complex technical or product efforts and provide guidance
• Architect efficient and scalable systems for complex apps
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Work on a variety of coding languages and technologies
• Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with end-to-end understanding
