Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or a related field. 2+ years if you have a PhD.
• 2+ years in ML, recommendation systems, AI or related field.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Hack scripting.
• Experience building ML models at scale from inception to business impact.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Java, or scripting languages like Python, Perl, PHP, or shell scripts.
• Track record of setting technical direction for a team and cross-functional partnerships.
• Experience designing, building, or deploying recommendation systems (collaborative filtering, content-based, hybrid).
• Experience delivering high-quality work with reliability and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative application experiences.
• Implement UI components using modern programming techniques.
• Develop reusable software components interfacing with back-end platforms.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Lead complex technical or product efforts and provide guidance to peers.
• Architect efficient and scalable systems for complex applications.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Work with multiple languages and technologies.
• Own components, features, or systems with end-to-end responsibility.
