Job summary

Symbotic LLC is seeking an Intern- Machine Learning Ops to join our ML Operations team. Your job will be to help build, scale, and deploy machine learning systems that improve the health, reliability, and performance of our autonomous robot fleet.

The ML Operations team takes machine learning and perception technologies from research environments into reliable production use across Symbotic's autonomous warehouse robots.

Qualifications

• Pursuing PhD or Master’s in a related field.
• Experience with Python or C++ and delivering working code.
• Familiarity with cloud-based infra (GCP or Azure).
• Experience with data systems, telemetry, camera or sensor data.
• Knowledge of ML deployment tech like ONNX, TensorRT, Docker.
• Strong collaboration across ML, software, hardware, and ops teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale software platforms for autonomous capabilities.
• Collaborate with ML research to meet production deployment needs.
• Optimize deployment pipelines using ONNX, TensorRT, and custom hardware.
• Maintain edge computing infra for real-time performance.
• Build ML pipelines for data curation, training, validation, evaluation.
• Develop simulations, diagnostics, monitoring, and alerting for fleet scale-up.
• Improve robotics software and Docker Compose configurations for performance.
