Job summary

Symbotic LLC is offering Spring 2027 internship and co‑op opportunities in a fast‑moving, robotics‑driven environment. You will help architect software to support autonomous capabilities, collaborate across ML/R&D teams, and optimize deployment pipelines for real‑world systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with edge computing, data pipelines, and ML model training while contributing to a cutting‑edge automation platform used by leading retailers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in CS/Software/Robotics or related field.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (GCP or Azure).
• Experience with complex data systems including telemetry and sensor data.
• Strong software engineering skills with delivering high-quality code quickly.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale software platform to support autonomous capabilities.
• Collaborate with ML/R&D teams to meet deployment requirements.
• Optimize robotic hardware deployment, testing, and rollout pipelines.
• Maintain edge computing infrastructure for real-time performance.
• Create data pipelines for training ML systems and evaluation metrics.
• Increase speed of robotic system evaluation via simulation.
• Reduce hardware maintenance using data-driven diagnostics.
• Engineer state-of-the-art robotic software to boost ML performance.
• Design compilation architectures to decouple hardware dependencies.
• Structure docker compose configurations for hardware sharing.
