Job summary

AZmed is seeking a skilled ML Engineer to bridge research and production for medical AI. You will maintain datasets and models, own the codebase, and optimize the Foundation Model pipeline.

You’ll collaborate with Ops, MLOps, and Software Engineering to ensure robust, scalable AI systems and rapid deployment of state‑of‑the‑art technology in radiology. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in statistics, data science, AI or related field.
• 5+ years building ML applications in production.
• Experience in computer vision, NLP, and ML pipelines.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, SQL, Spark, Airflow, and DVC.
• Experience with PyTorch, scikit-learn, and scikit-image.
• Experience with medical images and alignment of image/text, VLM/LLaVA.
• Proactive and responsible with PR reviews and feature ownership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall quality and continuous evolution of datasets and models.
• Own the AI team’s codebase; refine architecture and enforce high standards via PR reviews.
• Optimize and operate the Foundation Model pipeline (data prep, training, validation).
• Drive AI features and build pipelines to accelerate production deployment.
