Job summary

Peraton, a leading national security company, seeks an AI/ML Engineer in Maryland to design, train, and deploy advanced models for IC data workflows. You will lead cross‑functional teams, implement scalable data pipelines, and ensure governance and security standards across programs.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 2+ years ML experience, and a CS/Math degree; you will work with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow and AWS Bedrock to deliver impactful solutions with measurable results.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph required.
• Two (2) years of experience in applied machine learning in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in advanced math, Computer Science or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Three (3) years of additional machine learning experience on projects with similar machine learning processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms to solve business challenges.
• Proficient in model architecture, data pipeline interaction, metrics application, interpretation, and presentation.
• Familiarity with foundational concepts of application development, infrastructure management, data engineering, and data governance.
• Experience training, retraining, deploying, scheduling, monitoring, and improving models to support scalable solutions for optimal performance.
• Lead geographically diverse teams and serve as a primary POC for AI-related matters.
