Job summary

Peraton in Laurel, MD is seeking a senior AI/ML engineer to design, train, deploy, and monitor advanced models supporting national security programs. You will work across model architecture, data pipelines, and production systems, turning prototypes into scalable solutions.

Qualifications include 5+ years in applied ML, a Master’s/PhD in AI/Data Science/CS, US citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly. Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of applied machine learning experience on complex programs.
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly.
• Advanced degree in AI/Data Science/CS or related field; alternative with experience.

Responsibilities

• Train, retrain, deploy, schedule, monitor and improve ML models.
• Lead geographically distributed teams and serve as primary technical contact.
• Translate prototypes into scalable production solutions and ensure data integrity.
