Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to design, develop, and productize AI/ML solutions for national security programs. You will build models, data pipelines, and evaluation metrics, working across teams to deliver scalable, reliable intelligence-enabled applications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Python, ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), and cloud tools, plus a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph required.
Two (2) years of experience in applied machine learning in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor's Degree in advanced math (e.g., Calculus, Linear Algebra or Bayesian statistics), Computer Science or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Responsibilities

Design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms to solve business challenges.
Proficient in model architecture, data pipeline interaction, metrics application, interpretation, and presentation.
Familiarity with application development, infrastructure management, data engineering, and data governance.
Experience training, retraining, deploying, scheduling, monitoring, and improving models for scalable solutions.
Lead geographically diverse teams and serve as primary POC for AI-related matters.
