Job description

**Responsibilities**

The Market Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the staff and activities for rehabilitation therapy services across inpatient, post-acute, and outpatient settings within all market facilities. The role involves providing leadership and management for managers, supervisors, and staff, ensuring standards of professional and ethical practice are maintained in compliance with applicable guidelines. The director represents excellence in healthcare service delivery.

**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**

  1. Lead the development of therapy and related service objectives, integrating these with the health system’s mission and strategic goals through collaboration and execution of business plans.
  2. Identify and set short and long-term goals, develop implementation plans, and evaluate performance using data-driven metrics.
  3. Focus on growth and market development by innovating, expanding revenue-generating services, and strengthening referral streams.
  4. Assess and improve patient care quality, ensuring continuous compliance with standards such as The Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory bodies.
  5. Maintain quality control and compliance programs, fostering a culture of safety and high reliability.
  6. Develop and oversee departmental budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization, staffing, and financial stewardship.
  7. Recruit, orient, train, coach, and retain department managers and supervisors, promoting professional growth and competency.
  8. Ensure patient needs are met through effective coordination with the health system, maintaining positive relations with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
  9. Communicate effectively to foster employee engagement, resolve concerns timely, and collaborate with the health system leadership team to meet organizational goals.

**Qualifications**

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a therapeutic specialty area.
  • Five to seven years of clinical therapy experience in a hospital or medical setting, with at least three years in a supervisory role.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Licensed therapist in the relevant specialty.
  • BLS/CPR Certified.

Preferred experience includes leadership in acute or post-acute rehab settings, inpatient rehab, outpatient therapy, sports medicine clinics, home health, or skilled nursing centers.

**Pay Range**

$56.83 - $82.40 per hour
