Responsibilities

The Market Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the staff and activities for rehabilitation therapy services in inpatient, post-acute, and outpatient settings across all market facilities. The role requires self-direction, insightful leadership, and management of managers, supervisors, and staff. The Market Director must be highly organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and exemplify excellence in healthcare service delivery. Ensuring compliance with professional, ethical standards, and company policies is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop therapy and related services objectives aligned with the health system’s mission and strategic goals, creating and executing integrated business plans. Focus on growth, revenue building, and strengthening referral streams.
2. Assess and enhance patient care quality through continuous Performance Improvement activities, using data-driven decision-making and benchmarks.
3. Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, and other regulatory standards, maintaining quality and safety standards.
4. Develop and monitor departmental budgets, resource needs, and staffing to maximize efficiency and financial stewardship.
5. Recruit, train, coach, and retain department managers and staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring patient needs are met through collaboration.
6. Maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, patients, and families, resolving concerns promptly and fostering positive relationships.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a therapeutic specialty area

Experience: 5-7 years as a practicing therapist in a healthcare setting, with 3 years in supervisory roles

Licensure & Certifications: Licensed therapist in the specialty area, BLS/CPR certified

Pay Range

$56.83 - $82.40 per hour
