Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is seeking a skilled bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service at the MKT Bar. This on-site role requires high-volume hospitality expertise and a refined palate for wine, cocktails, and food pairings.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of bartending in high-volume upscale environments.
• Extensive wine, cocktail, and food knowledge required.

We are actively searching for an experienced, friendly and energetic individual to join the team as Bartender at MKT Bar - Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco! This is Union Extra / On-Call Position.

The Role – Overview

The MKT Bartender is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests, assuring each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. This key role provides guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.

Essential Functions

• Above all else provide quality beverage product that ensures guest satisfaction.
• Greet guests, take food & beverage orders, and prepare drinks with a high degree of sophistication.
• Review drink tickets entered by servers and prepare each order to their specification within specified service standards and times.
• Recommend cocktails and wines to be paired with food items offered in the bar and adjacent restaurant.
• Recommend beverages (wine & spirits) based on guest preferences.
• Maintain strict serving and sanitation guidelines consistent with State, Local and Four Seasons requirements.
• Adhere to all Four Seasons standards – inside the Bar as well as out.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a harmonious relationship with employees at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Viable candidates must have a minimum of two years of bartending experience in high volume, upscale environment. Luxury experience is preferred.
• Extensive wine, cocktail, and food knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of point of sales systems required. Micros Symphony knowledge preferred.
• Candidates with a bartending/mixology certification are preferred and will receive priority consideration.
• Must be able to easily prioritize and multi‑task.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends & holidays.
• Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required.
• Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required.
