Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Mixing Operator Level 1/A/Trainee for the Saturation department in Blythewood. The role requires operating saturation machinery, following safety rules, and ensuring quality production with attention to data and records.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work various shifts including overtime. Training will cover hazardous waste handling and process maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with basic math, written and oral communication skills.
• Manufacturing experience in coating, web handling or extrusion preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, walk and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work any shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in Blythewood Plant Safety Program and complete safety training.
• Operate and monitor saturation process equipment and maintain quality production.
• Handle materials with appropriate devices and maintain data/records.
• Perform in-process quality testing and adhere to production specs.
• Change-over, start-up and adjust equipment to meet safety and production standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Support Hazardous Waste Handler duties and proper labeling/sealing of waste.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
