Job summary

Griffith Foods is hiring a Mixing Operator on the third shift in Lithonia, GA to load and operate mixing equipment safely, follow the production formula sequence, and document daily production, quality, and performance.

You must lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, work around allergens, and comply with GMP, HACCP, and company safety standards.

Starting pay is $27.68 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential, with ongoing increases based on learning progression and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a USDA regulated manufacturing environment (advantageous).
• Experience operating mixing or blending equipment.
• Familiarity with food safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and RedZone ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production equipment.
• Verify counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.
• Add raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence.
• Discharge blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.
• Follow customer sampling requirements of blended product.
• Document production, quality, and performance in daily schedule control.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and tools and the work area.
• Dispose of trash and garbage containers.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly during the shift.
• Support BRC audit requirements, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
