Job summary

Aspen Mills Bread Company Of Utah I in Ogden, UT is seeking a mathematically inclined, full-time dough mixer to join our production team. The role requires reading production sheets, mixing dough to requested batch sizes, and maintaining FIFO and allergen separation.

You must lift 50-75 lb buckets, manage up to five dough batches, and move heavy mixing bowls. Shifts run 3 AM to 12 PM; starting pay is $13 per hour, with benefits including employee discounts, free uniforms, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand production sheets and recipes.
• Able to mix dough at requested batch sizes.
• Must measure and prepare micro-ingredient blends for next day.
• Understand look and texture of dough to determine doneness.
• Must manage up to 5 dough batches at once.
• Practice FIFO and allergen separation when using ingredients.
• Must lift heavy mixing bowls and move them on/off equipment.
• Must refill ingredient buckets as needed.

Responsibilities

• Mix dough according to recipes and batch sizes.
• Read production sheets and ensure accurate measurements.
• Prepare mixtures of salts, sugars, yeast, and other ingredients.
• Monitor dough texture and doneness, adjusting as needed.
• Maintain orderly sequencing of batches for efficient production.
• Manage up to five batches simultaneously and maintain FIFO.
• Refill ingredient buckets and handle heavy mixing bowls.

Aspen Mills is looking to hire one mathematically inclined full time person. Must be strong enough to lift 50-75 lb buckets

Starting Pay: $13/hr

Shift: 3AM to 12 PM or until finished

Requirements:

• -In charge of mixing the dough for Aspen Mills’ primary bread products.
• -Must be able to read and understand production sheets & recipes, and mix dough at requested batch sizes.
• -Must be able to measure and prepare mixtures of micro-ingredients (salt, sugar, yeast, ect.) for use on the next production day.
• -Must understand the look and texture of each dough we make, in order to determine when it’s done mixing.
• -Must have good time management and planning skills, so the day’s dough is mixed in logical order, and at a good pace, to be processed correctly.
• -Must be able to manage up to 5 batches of dough mixing at one time.
• -Must practice FIFO (first in, first out); and allergen separation, when using ingredients.
• -Must be strong enough to move the heavy mixing bowls onto and off the mixing machines.
• -Must refill ingredient buckets when they are empty.
