Job summary

Hayden Valley Foods is seeking a dependable Mixer Machine Operator/Boxer for 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 5:45 a.m.–1:45 p.m.). Earn up to $19.50/hour DOE. Join a team producing quality nut and snack products with weekend afternoons free.

Responsibilities include operating mixer equipment, weighing ingredients, packaging, labeling, and maintaining clean, compliant work areas. Prioritize GMPs and food-safety while meeting daily goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately use a scale and learn production equipment.
• Ability to recognize and report product or packaging quality concerns.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift.
• Willingness to learn Hayden Valley Foods' production, sanitation, quality, and food-safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mixing and related production equipment.
• Follow production instructions, recipes, and product specifications.
• Measure and verify ingredients and product quantities as required.
• Monitor products throughout the process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Package finished products according to production requirements.
• Verify that boxes contain the correct product, packaging, and labels.
• Weigh products and use scales accurately.
• Assemble, seal, and prepare boxes using packaging equipment and tape guns.
• Inspect packaging to prevent contamination, damage, or labeling errors.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Follow GMPs, sanitation procedures, allergen controls, HACCP, SQF, and other food-safety requirements.
• Communicate equipment, product, quality, or safety concerns promptly to supervisor or Quality Control.
• Work with team to meet daily production and quality goals.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.
