Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. in Marshall, Missouri is seeking a Main Mixer to safely operate the feed mixing system and ensure quality and formulation standards. You will help keep production moving and maintain accurate records.

The role requires attention to safety, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and teamwork in a dusty production environment, with OSHA/HACCP/FSMA knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age to work in the plant.
• Previous feed mill, manufacturing, production, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plans, FSMA requirements, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs); commitment to following safety procedures and using PPE.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills for accurate production documentation, and good mechanical aptitude.
• Dependable and detail-oriented, with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team and identify and communicate potential equipment or production concerns.
• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds from floor level to working height as required by the job.
• Ability to safely work in a dusty production environment and both indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, maintain, and calibrate the mixing system to support efficient, accurate, and consistent production of finished feeds.
• Complete scheduled feed mill mixing in accordance with formula cards, quality standards, SOPs, cGMP requirements, and established feed and food safety practices.
• Maintain accurate daily records of feed formulations, mixing activity, and required production documentation.
• Monitor equipment and work areas for safe and proper operation, maintaining clean conditions and promptly communicating equipment concerns, mixing errors, safety issues, or other production concerns to management.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while assisting in other areas of production and performing additional duties as assigned by plant management.
