Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. in Marshall, Missouri is seeking a Main Mixer to safely operate, calibrate, and monitor the feed mixing system to produce consistent finished feeds in accordance with formulation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age to work in the plant.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plans, FSMA, and cGMPs; commitment to safety procedures and PPE.
• Previous feed mill, manufacturing, production, or related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic math for production documentation, and good mechanical aptitude.
• Dependable and detail-oriented; ability to work safely and in a team and identify equipment or production concerns.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds from floor to working height.
• Ability to work in dusty environments and outdoors/indoors in seasonal weather.
• Safety is a top priority; follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate, maintain, and calibrate the mixing system to support efficient, accurate, and consistent production of finished feeds.
  
• Complete scheduled feed mill mixing in accordance with formula cards, quality standards, SOPs, cGMP requirements, and established feed and food safety practices.
  
• Maintain accurate daily records of feed formulations, mixing activity, and required production documentation.
  
• Monitor equipment and work areas for safe and proper operation, maintaining clean conditions and promptly communicating equipment concerns, mixing errors, safety issues, or other production concerns to management.
  
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork while assisting in other areas of production and performing additional duties as assigned by plant management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age to work in the plant.
  
• Previous feed mill, manufacturing, production, or related experience preferred.
  
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plans, FSMA requirements, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), with a commitment to following established safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills for accurate production documentation, and good mechanical aptitude.
  
• Dependable and detail-oriented, with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team and identify and communicate potential equipment or production concerns.
  
• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds from floor level to working height as required by the job.
  
• Ability to safely work in a dusty production environment and both indoors and outdoors in seasonal weather conditions.
