Job summary

Quality Harvest Foods is hiring a Day Shift Mixer Assistant in Portland, OR. The role involves preparing batches of dough, cheese, and fillings in a hands-on team setting. Monday through Friday 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, 30–40 hours weekly, with potential weekend shifts during peak production.

• Ability to read and record Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Must speak, read, and understand English for safety and communication.
• One year of mixing experience in a food production plant preferred.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts during high production periods.
• Strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities

• Move bins into mixing and line position.
• Assist with equipment preparation, cleaning, and inspection during changeovers.
• Regularly lift and dump bags and bins of ingredients up to 55 lbs., using team lifts for heavier bins.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support food safety standards.
• Promote a safe and positive work environment for all team members.
• Follow and enforce quality procedures to meet company standards.
