Job summary

Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions seeks an Associational Missions Strategist (ASM) to plan and lead a missions strategy across the Randolph Baptist Association. The role emphasizes ministry to churches and church leaders and provides administrative leadership within the association.

The position is part-time salaried staff, recruited by the AMS Search Committee, and supervised by the Personnel Committee.

Qualifications

• Must meet the biblical qualifications for gospel ministry in accordance with 1 Tim 3:1-7.
• Must be a motivated person with deep Christian commitment and a sense of call to mission service.
• Must hold strong affirmative belief concerning Baptist doctrine, polity and practices.
• Must be thoroughly cooperative with the work of the Alabama Baptist State Convention and its entities and the Southern Baptist Convention and its agencies.
• Must have enough training and experience to enable him to plan, establish, coordinate, promote, conduct and evaluate the objectives of the association.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a missions strategy which leads the association to fulfill its purpose and objectives.
• Minister to the churches and church leaders of the association.
• Provide administrative leadership to the association.
• Missions strategy and ministry leadership to the association; foster a mission/ministry spirit; initiate starting of missions/churches; establish points of witness and ministry.
• Involve program organizations and committees in mission/ministry service; lead organization to accomplish association mission/ministries.
• Maintain denominational relationships to assist in planning, promoting and implementing programs.
