Job summary

BOAB Ventures is seeking a Software Developer specializing in systems software to design, build, and maintain enterprise mission systems, platforms, and applications in cloud and hybrid environments. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure backend services.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for systems software development.
• Experience building/maintaining backend or systems software in production.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with monitoring/logging/alerting (Prometheus, Alertmanager, CloudWatch).
• Understanding of system design, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain systems-level software and backend services.
• Build and enhance automation, deployment, and integration components.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipeline components (Jenkins) and deployment workflows.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for reproducible environments.
• Develop containerized applications and services with Docker and Podman.
• Write efficient software for system automation and integration tasks using Python and Bash.
• Collaborate on system architecture ensuring scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
• Work with Git-based workflows and contribute to SDLC processes.
• Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution.
