Job summary

Cimarron is seeking a Mid-Level/Associate Mission Systems Engineer to join an exciting program located in Seal Beach, CA; with options to work from Aurora, CO or El Segundo, CA; to support development of new first-of-kind space vehicles and missions.

Key duties include system integration, mbse-driven analysis, and creation of physics-based simulations to guide design choices and performance verification.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizens only due to facility security requirements.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Must have valid Real ID-compliant ID at hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with MBSE and mission-level design.

Responsibilities

• Support integration and development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions.
• Develop and present review packages to senior leadership.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop physics-based mission simulations to inform trades and verify performance.
• Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design and trajectory optimization.
• Identify inefficiencies and develop reusable tools and automations.
