Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to lead requirements, verification, and interface definition for the ground and mission systems that support deep-space missions. You will work with spacecraft, mission operations, and ground software teams to ensure architecture meets objectives, including CCSDS compliance.

The role involves real-time and store-and-forward operations, product updates, testing, and validation within a collaborative culture that values safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field.
• 5+ years in ground systems, spacecraft operations, requirements definition/validation, or CCSDS.

Responsibilities

• Identify, derive, develop, and maintain mission systems requirements with traceability and validation approach.
• Define ground element requirements and ICDs, including user and payload interfaces.
• Collaborate with flight vehicle, ground software, mission operations, and payload teams.
